Apogee Stadium at University of North Texas
Denton, Texas

Manhattan Construction Co. provided Builder-Driven Pre-Construction and Construction Management services for the Apogee Stadium at the University of North Texas (UNT) Mean Green Village athletics complex in Denton, Texas. The new 30,000-seat stadium includes expansion capability to 50,000 seats. The project includes a 760-seat club level, 21 luxury suites, a corporate deck, a Spirit Store, a Touchdown Terrace, and increased tailgating space. The project is LEED Platinum certified and is the first collegiate stadium in the nation to achieve this green building designation. LEED Platinum is the highest certification level in the LEED green building certification program administered by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Manhattan's LEED Accredited Professionals manage and track the construction materials at the UNT Stadium vital to achieving LEED Platinum certification. During construction the Manhattan project team recycled 75% of construction waste. Of the products and materials used in the construction of the stadium, 20 percent were made with recycled content and more than 47 percent were manufactured locally. The LEED green building certification program is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of green buildings.
