Cape Coral, Florida

The new 222,988-square-foot, four-story Veterans Administration Ambulatory/Outpatient Surgical Center in Lee County is situated on a 30 plus acre site. The 14,000-square-foot, open front lobby design includes a terrazzo floor finish and a four-story high glass curtain wall, which allows natural light to fill the room. The facility includes eight operating rooms on the second floor, with a focus on endoscopic surgery, four sound proof Audiology booths for hearing evaluation on the second floor, a 3,200-square-foot laboratory on the 1st floor, a 4,500 square-foot pharmacy, and nine dental offices on the second floor. The 25,000-square-foot, two-story central energy plant has three 1,500 kilowatt generators and an electric fire pump.
