The University of North Texas (UNT) has selected Manhattan Construction Company to provide pre-construction and construction services for its new football stadium complex on its campus in Denton, Texas.
The new 30,000 seat stadium will include a club level, a corporate deck, a Spirit Store, and a Touchdown Terrace. In addition to hosting UNT events, it will serve as a venue for outdoor concerts, community events, high school games and band competitions for the North Texas region.
The UNT Stadium complex project is LEED® registered under the U.S. Green Building Council and is striving to obtain LEED Silver certification. The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings.
The stadium is located on the site of the former Eagle Point Golf Course, adjacent to University’s Athletics Center and directly across Interstate 35 from the Murchison Performing Arts Center.
